Cary Audio Design CD 306 Professional Version SACD/CD Player DAC

I am the original owner of this fine SACD/CD player. This unit has been factory refreshed with:  
1. New laser assembly.   2. New transport.   3. New display assembly. 
The chassis interior was also treated with strips of Dynamat Xtreme for further vibration damping. This can be peeled off prior to shipping if desired.

A receipt for the factory parts replacements will be included. This work carries a 90 day Cary factory warranty.

The CD 306 Professional Version also plays HDCDs and can be used as an excellent high resolution outboard DAC for PCM sources up to 192 K/24 bit.   


Please note that the DAC inputs only accept PCM sources and not DSD.  

There are many reviews of this player online, therefore I won't go into detail about its performance. I will say that this was my primary digital source until I went to a DSD-based computer audio setup with a separate digital player, DAC, and master clock. It took a while to find a DAC/digital player setup that beat the CD 306 PV's DAC performance, and when I did, the solution came to a retail price of $20,500.   


Chassis is solid aluminum panels 1/8" thick. Unit weighs 35 pounds.

Please note this is not the original CD 306 with the round window over the transport. This is the later and much improved professional version. Cary has not produced a another player with the CD 306 Pro's sound quality and build quality since.
