The great benefit of this player to modern systems is that apart from top-notch SACD/CD replay - CD can be upsampled to DSD prior to oversampling in the dCSRing DAC - it has 2 digital inputs - one coaxial S/PDIF, one AES/EBU, for computer sources. Listeners can then take advantage of the dCSRing DAC technology for their music files too. The built-in volume control means in some systems you don't even need a preamplifier. Output is on RCA or XLR connectors. It can also be upgraded with the dCS off-board clocks like the Puccini U-Clock, which would give USB connectivity too. I heard this combination using a Mac Mini at the dCS factory and was very impressed! I have the remote, mains lead, manual and all packaging.
