Electrocompaniet’s 24/192 EMC CD Player
STEREO TIMES
In summary, the EMC1 simply is the best sounding CD player to have graced my system. It humiliated the highly touted SACD’s in the all-important sonic parameters - richness, tonality, soundstaging, resolution, image specificity and quietness - right out of the dog-gone box. The EMC1 outperformed SACD discs through the almighty Sony SCD1. Its 16/44 to 24/192 kHz upsampling capabilities of standard everyday CD’s together with its formable build quality and to-die-for good looks make it both a spectacular performer as well as a bargain. For anyone who already owns or is familiar with the EMC1’s performance, you know the words are merely superfluous: You must listen for yourself. I have. The EMC1 is easily the best CD player to have graced my system.

Electrocompaniet has produced one of the best sounding CD players on the market, the EMC 1-UP.The EMC 1UP features a unique cancellation system which cancels acoustic / mechanical vibrations, preventing the laser pick-up from receiving unwanted and sonically degrading signals. The EMC 1UP features our latest, fully balanced symmetrical state-of-the-art circuit design powered by a FTT (Floating Transformer Technology) power supply.

24 Bit upsampler 192KHz DAC improves the headroom by reducing the noise floor approximately 10dB(3x). All analogue circuits are fully balanced and symmetrical, similar to the design of our amplifiers. Four separate power supplies using Floating Transformer Technology (FTT) are feeding the digital unit, the display, the drive mechanism and the analogue unit.

Questions for the seller
What's the year of production of this one?
Good afternoon, not quite sure how would find out. But it's one of the earlier models in perfect condition. It does not have the spider clamp, as I've never found a need for the CD player is very stable and doesn't have a need for the clamp as far as I was concerned. If you can instruct me how to find out the exact production date I certainly will
