Meridian G-98AH CD/DVD Player

For sale is a Meridian G98AH DVD Audio Transport and Player in AS-IS
condition. This worked perfectly in my system, until one day it lit up
but did not operate. It is sold for those wanting to attempt a repair or
use it for parts. It is in very good to excellent physical condition.

From Meridian literature: "The G98 DVD-Audio transport plays audio
CDs, MP3 CDs, Video CDs, DVD-Video, and DVD-Audio discs. It can decode
Dolby Digital, DTS, MPEG, MP3 and MLP data streams to PCM for stereo
playback. And it can output Dolby Digital, DTS, and MPEG bitstreams for
connection to a surround controller ...."

This is the "AH" version with 5.1 analog outputs, plus a stereo SPDIF output on coax and
Toslink. Video outputs include composite, S-video, component, and HDMI
outputs (HDMI also carries audio and is DVI-HDCP compatible via an
adaptor cable), all simultaneously active. Selected video input is
converted to all formats at valid resolutions. HDMI port supports 480p,
576p, 720p, and 1080i. Analogue component out is available at 480p and
576p.

Again, this is not working and is sold in AS IS condition.
When working, it was used it as a CD transport. It was outstanding,
audibly better than others I tried with a variety of DACs.

Shipped in a suitable Meridian box (box fits perfectly, but not the original).
