Musical Fidelity TriVista 21

Manufactured in Jan. 2004 Original Selling Price of $2,300. 
 
When I first heard this DAC it was part of the first digital system that didn't make me feel like the air was sucked from the room when I listened to music. I am a devout analog/tube-ophile and this DAC allowed digital to come close to the sound I loved and wanted to hear. It served me very well until a tube died over a year ago. I replaced the Tri-Vista 21 with a Bryston DAC and had the Tri-Vista completely re-tubbed with the milspec 5703WB tubes. It then sat in my listening studio unused until I finally decided to sell it.
