Proceed CDP CD Player

These days, its pretty rare to get excited about a CD player but this one is amazing. Anytime a piece of Proceed walks into the shop we hook it up and listen immediately. There is something magical in the way these pieces are designed and put together. First of all, they are built like tanks. They also seem to be able to play virtually any CD you throw at them regardless of condition. We keep a small stack of test CDs near our bench and these are CDs that look like they've been thrown down an alley. This player plays them flawlessly. While both of those anecdotes are amusing it doesn't really say much about the way this player sounds. To me it sounds like what we were promised when CDs were initially released. It's fast and tight in the bass, well balanced in the midrange and treble, and its imaging is spectacular. 

For those of us that still cherish our CD collections, this player is for you. Strongly recommended.
