Bought it NEW 03/03/2016 from an authorized dealer.
Just purchased a Devialet amp and I don't need a separate DAC anymore. Fully functional as new, still have the plastic film on top of the device. No scratch.
Updated to Torreys Final firmware (I think this sounds the best to me), feel free to update if you want other firmware
Comes with original 8GB SDHC card for Firmware Update (provided by PS Audio)
Will ship in original box, and Remote Control. Also comes with the original white gloves
I misplaced the manual (No manual will be provided), you can obtain the manual from PS Audio's website.
According to Page 12 of the manual, http://www.psaudio.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/DirectStream-DAC-Owners-Manual-V4-Rev-A.pdf "The warranty may be transferred to a subsequent purchaser during the 3 year warranty period."
Warranty can be transferred because it is still within 3-years period.
The original box will indicate PerfectWave but it is a DirectStream DAC, that's PS Audio's packaging decision.

I used to have this setup:
NAS (to store music files) running Minimserver, this connects to Auralic Aries with LAN cable, and using the USB Out and goes to the USB Input on the PS Audio DirectStream
The DirectStream does not have any internet/network capability.
If your music server has USB/SPDIF/Optical/AES output, you should able to connect to the DirectStream to decode the output.
