I can't praise the Apollo R highly enough. Ever since I bought a Rega Planet in the 90s, I've been amazed at the warm, dimensional, non-fatiguing sound Rega can extract from red book CDs. The perfect one box solution for playing CDs, the Apollo combines Rega's excellent build quality with the same Wolfson chip set from the $1100 Rega DAC R.
This unit is in perfect shape except for a couple of fingernail scratches on the (very shiny) CD tray lid. It took me a couple of tries to master using the indent in front of the lid. It comes with remote, original packaging and manual.
I'm selling because I'm easing into streaming, which requires a separate DAC and transport. Highly recommended.
