T+A Elektroakustik PDP 3000 HV CD/SACD Player & PCM DSD DAC - Titanium finish

This is the model that was just reviewed by Robert Harley for and on the cover of the December '16 issue of The Absolute Sound magazine, and Harley states that it offers "what is far and away the best SACD and DSD playback I've heard".

Mr. Harley of course gave it a stellar review that is worth checking out, concluding that: "The T+A PDP 3000 HV is an extremely sophisticated, versatile, and highly musical disc player. I am only selling due to an upgrade (a much more expensive dCS multi-chassis system) and this unit itself is very lightly used. It has one minor nick on the right side and some small scratches underneath the right side panel that aren't visible (from taking it out of a stand) which account for the aggressive price. See pics. Unit comes with original box and packing, remote, disc stabilizer and manual. MSRP is $22,500 and considered an incredible value at that. Made in Germany and and features a massive tank-like construction.

The side panel can be replaced if someone wants a perfect unit, but I'm pricing to reflect the minor cosmetic issue - and at over 60% off of retail this is simply a great deal. And installed or on a rack or stand one will never notice these issues.

As Robert Harley said: "the PDP 3000 HV represents high value considering the performance, build quality." That is at $22.5K; this unit is available for less than half of that!

The T+A PDP 3000 HV is a PCM/DSD Player DAC that plays both CD and SACD discs, features seven digital inputs and includes a true 1 bit DSD D/A Converter. Massive aluminum chassis with 5 shielded sub-compartments housing the high-grade disc transport, DAC, analog power supply, digital power supply, and control sections. Made in Germany and built like a tank. Rated 8 as "very good" due to the small flaw on right side per Audiogon rating guidelines, but otherwise the unit is mint and it performs flawlessly.

The unit is optimized for both PCM and DSD audio. Resolutions up to 32/384 PCM and DSD 512 are supported via USB. Separate sets of jacks and dedicated filters for PCM and DSD, and there are two AC jacks as the digital and analog circuits are powered individually.
