This could be the world Top 3 most musical single CD player on the planet!!!

Available for sale a total cost of $24K USD Extreme Mod Wadia S7i Integrated CD/DAC with external PSU (Modification/Upgrade cost $10K USD see below) which brings an already outstanding cd player to most musical component ever produced by Wadia even performing equally to their $55K flagship model Wadia 922/931/270SE...

The unit is in excellent condition both cosmetically and functionally (minor scratches on bottom due to the isolation cones) and extremely reliable German cd transport (cost only $300 for replacement transport and still available at Audio Research facility).

This particular Wadia S7i has surpassed many uber cd players up to $25K USD which I had owned and compared to.

This is going to be a very intensive mod/upgrade. As we discussed this
unit will be separate from the S7i and housed in itʼs own chassis. This will
provide four benefits.
a. Provide more room to add a separate power supply for the
DAC and transport.
b. Removing the toroidal transformers (two total) from the S7i
will eliminate the magnetic problems that transformers
impose on sensitive digital circuits.
c. The cost of the upgrades you get to keep because they are
housed in a separate chassis. Please understand some the
parts being used are very sought after and are no longer
available. Duplicating this power supply or bettering it in the
future is very unlikely due to the unavailability of the parts.
d. Sonics. After all this is the intended purpose of doing the
upgrades. No doubt the S7i will be far more enjoyable to
listen too. It will also allow you to use the S7i as a stand
alone DAC if you decide to use a music server in the future.
External Power supply Chassis

DAC Power Supply - Involved with this upgrade is large inductors, capacitors (high
quality Nichiconʼs), stepped bridge rectifier (not your typical rectifier) Bybees at the
bridge rectifier. Toroidal transformer will have a mini “Stage” platform to house the
transformer. Also the transformer will have a two part shielding applied. Mu metal will be
around the transformer and the transformer will be painted.
(Sonic benefits include increased soundstage, better layering, more ambient
information, less grain, greater ease of the music, more slam and bass impact,
increased resolution, and increased dynamics.)

Transport Power Supply - This is a separate power supply from the DAC. It will be
very similar to the DAC power supply.
(Sonic benefits include increased soundstage, better layering, more ambient
information, less grain, greater ease of the music, more slam and bass impact,
increased resolution, and increased dynamics.)

IEC Mount - This wire harness has a circuit board that goes to the two power
transformer (one for DAC and one for transport). This circuit board will have added AC
filtering with Mundof caps.
(Sonic benefits includes lower noise floor, more inner detail and resolution).
Power Supply Chassis - A separate chassis will be constructed to house the new
power supplies. Besides the chassis there will be necessary hardware to fasten and
secure the components being installed. As mentioned above two mini brass “Stage”
platforms will be used to support the transformers.

(Sonic benefits includes less distortion, blacker background, better imagining and focus,
greater uniformity between the two channels, greater dynamics, more body and weight
to the music)

S7i
Circuit board - Inside the S7i the critical circuit board will be upgraded. Larger value
power supply capacitors will be installed. The vital Blackgate NX caps (approx. 20) will
be used extensively on the circuit board. There is not one mod/upgrade company that
uses these rare and almost extinct NX caps. These caps are what the DAC chips use
and where this upgrade will bring it, and better it in some areas, to the level of the 9
series.
Another sonic leap will come from adding five (5) high quality voltage regulators. The
ones currently used in the Wadia cost around .75-1.00 ea. These regulators cost 60.00
each. There are a total of nine but we priced only five to keep the cost down. When I get
mine done it will have all nine done.
The DAC chips will be painted to eliminate EMI and RFI noise. They are so small you
will not notice they are painted but the improvement is very obvious.
(Sonic benefits includes instruments and voices are more defined, more air on top,
better sound staging, and punchier bass).
