Playback Designs MPS-5 World Class Bargain!

Playback Designs MPS-5 is one of the world’s premier digital
players, in near-perfect condition, offered at a substantial discount from book
value.  This player is too fine to just
sit here rarely getting used, since I
listen 90% to analog.  I find I “need” (laugh here) the money to help fund a
very expensive turntable purchase. 

The Playback will be missed.  It offers superb resolution without ever being harsh.  There is a transparency to the sound that
I’ve never experienced in another digital player, with air and layering of the
soundstage that at least approaches analog. 
And it’s a joy to use and look at—the remote is classy and ergonomic, the big
display (see photo of the unit in use) glows with a warm red in a darkened room,
and the player responds quickly to all commands.  It has the USB-X box and lots of digital inputs, but I've never used it as a stand-alone DAC.

I’ve owned it for about two years.  Not sure how many previous owners (I see by the box that it has
been shipped a few times), but I bought it with confidence from one of the
founders of  Playback Designs.  Cosmetically and mechanically flawless.  It looks and performs as new, rated 8/10 for
age only.

I’ll pick up Paypal and shipping to CONUS.  Don’t expect me to respond to low offers—at
this price I’ve already lowballed myself!
