EAR Acute CD Player, customer trade, age unknown, 9/10 condition superb for age, with velcro on back of remote. This is an original Acute model. No manual but includes factory packing and remote. Comes with NOS Siemens E88CC tubes…..direct from Germany with approximately 550-600 hours on them: they should have plenty of life left. 30 day warranty.
Retail $6,000, sell for $2,200.
The Acute has digital outputs but there is simply no reason to use another DAC as it's sound is superb and you'd never imagine it's not a current generation, top flight CD player minus a couple percent's of resolution. Note it does not have USB input. After setting up and listening to this Acute, coming from latest Berkeley Referennce DAC no less, it's easy to remember why customers raved about how natural and analog it sounds yet has perfectly fine resolution. Flawless and super speedy operation, you'll be a very happy listener with the Acute!
