I am selling a very rare pair of Cello/Mark Levinson Amati Speakers in beautiful original condition. Only about 150 were made. Mark Levinson took Acoustic Research AR LST, and made them into his own Cello Amati (ultra high MSRP too).
The pair are the original Amati featuring enhanced AR drivers; later Amati Pro used Dynaudio drivers. Which version is better? It depends upon whom you talk to. Dimensions are 27 x 20 x 10 inches, and net weight 85 lbs each.
The pair for sale have serial numbers in the 70s. As shown in pictures, all original drivers are in excellent condition and work great, although the surround on both woofers need to be replaced. I'll leave that to the new owner who may find it more comfortable. Cabinets are excellent, only some minor marks on top of one speaker (coffee or tea?). Removable grills are in great condition too, no any blemishes.
I will help the buyer to drop them to a UPS Store for proper packing. Upon request, I will provide you with the phone # of the UPS store. Buyer is responsible for all packing and shipping expenses. I don't know how or if these can be shipped internationally. Please do some Google search yourself as I'll have to go the same route.
It's hard to price them, but I think my asking price is quite fair. Let me know any questions you have.
Regarding payment, I only take money order or bank transfer. Certainly, local pick up with cash in hand is great. However, I am not a store or business and not able to entertain "potential" buyers with curious eyes/ears. So, please understand.
