His diamond-point tone and quick vibrato afforded his playing a clarity of line that some felt was almost too perfect, even cold. This is an RCA "Shaded Dog" release in Stereo from 1964. The RCA "Dogs" are considered to be of true Audiophile quality.

Wonderful, rich, warm sound. Tremendous micro-detail - you can hear the rosin on Heifetz's bow. Excellent detail and clear intonation.
Surface noise is very low-level and mostly only heard on very quiet passages. Side 1 does have approx 1 minute of low-level 'ticks' in one section. Price has been adjusted accordingly.
