Up for sale is the complete package: Clearaudio's Emotion CMB turntable with the carbon-fiber Satisfy tonearm and Clearaudio's highly regarded, wood-bodied Maestro MM cartridge.
The plinth/platter interface utilizes Clearaudio's proprietary Ceramic Magnetic Bearing (CMB). This design utilizes opposing magnets to support the ceramic shaft to reduce friction at the bearing/shaft interface.
The low resonance, carbon fiber Satisfy tonearm utilizes Clearaudio's Directwire technology, which brings the signal from the cart to the gold-plated RCA jacks seamlessly.
The wood-bodied Maestro MM cartridge is Clearaudio's top of the line MM cart (currently retails at $1200). A number of reviews have praised it over MC carts of similar/greater price.
Overall, this unit is 8/10. The black matte finished plinth has no scratches, blems or nicks. The platter has no scratches or nicks. However, the frosted finish of the platter does have a few, very small marred spots on the top surface.
A simple design - well-executed. This is a very musical combination.
This turntable has been gently used and has approx. 80 hrs on it.
