Conrad Johnson SA-400

The Sonographe (Made by Conrad Johnson) SA400 High Current Power amplifier is a dream for the cost minded audiophile who wants a better sounding amplifier than a $7000 Krell and a more reliable amp than many amps costing more than $5000.00. The SA400 listed for a little less than $2k and was a bargain at that price.

This SA400 is used and is in excellent working condition. It has an original box. The unit is clean, and the face has almost invisible hairline scrathch you can't see from a feet away. The SA-400 has the ability to deliver tremendous amounts of current even into small impedance loads allowing it to be used with demanding speakers such as electrostatic and ribbon designs. Wonderful soundstage and dimensionality.

The SA400 is superbly built based on the many decades of Conrad Johnson's reputation. It uses polypropylene capacitors throughout with some of them bypassed with the Conrad Johnson polystyrene capacitors. This component quality is not found in amp costing $4000 or more!
