JL-2 Mark II Signature Series Tube Amp from Convergent Audio Technology

The JL-2 Signature Edition is the product of years of research and manufacturing experience by the renowned audio engineer Ken Stevens, the founder of Convergent Audio Technology.   Its unique and uncompromising design manages to combine the direct and pure sound of a low powered, single-ended tube amp with 100 watts of triode muscle power capable of driving any load. It delivers unparalleled deep bass rivaling the finest solid state amplifiers. However, the advanced tube circuitry exceeds solid state amps in transparency, microdynamics and the resolution of low-level detail.   This amplifier provides an audio-holographic account of the original musical event. Notes seem to float out of instruments and voices invisibly suspended in air. The distinct acoustic character of the recording venue is fully rendered.

The owner is relocating from a house in Philadelphia to a NYC apt and is downsizing due to space limitations. Be advised: with its huge, hand-wound, proprietary transformer and well-damped, heavy chassis, this behemoth weighs in at 170 lbs. Shipping not included.  Local pickup preferred.  

The owner possesses a backup cache of unusued signal and power tubes for this amp. These include both stock replacements from CAT and rare NOS equivalents.
