The Model “A” v.2 isolation platform is a two-piece system, which employs resonance damping within its fine hardwood exterior. The newly designed insert/inlay is constructed from solid hardwood with chambers within the inserts’ inner core. Unlike the sealed design of the original version 1, the version 2's open chambers that are uniquely designed to allow users to fill with materials of their choice. This design captures and mitigates resonance over a large range of frequencies without compromising the beauty of fine furniture.

At Core Audio Designs, we recommend the use of multiple materials to increase the damping effect. The insert/inlay arrive preloaded with 45 parts lead shot and 55 parts clay and sand. The mixture of lead, clay, and sand, was selected for their mass loading and low resonant properties. The Model “A” v.2 isolation platforms have been engineered to meet the needs of discerning audiophiles.
