Counterpoint SA-5.0 tube preamplifier with phono stage. This preamp needs no introduction. Unmolested (no upgrades applied) full featured preamplifier.
For the money this preamp sounds better than anything new in this price range (sub $1500). Plus it is still supported by Mike Elliot at Alta Vista Audio. Sounds great as it is but you can have Mr. Elliot upgrade and tweak this unit to your heart's content.
Rated a 7 only due to age.
Used in a smoke free environment.
