I am selling My counterpoint pre-amp not because I have found something that sounds better, but because I cannot tolerate the complete lack of customer service, crappy attitude and technical ineptitude that I feel I have experienced from alta vista audio (the same folks behind aria audio). After multiple upgrades I feel the unit sounds horrible - much worse than before the modifications were performed, and I feel that all my concerns are ignored or brushed aside. The unit is in a state of failure (probably the power supply that failed and was the reason I sent it back the second and third time) and I just don't want to deal with this garbage anymore. The unit is presently under warranty, with the power supply modification performed last, but sold as is.
