Benchmark DAC 2 HGC w/Empirical Audio Power Block and JPS Labs Power Cables

For sale is my pristine 4 year old Benchmark DAC2 HGC digital to analog converter, preamplifier and headphone amp with remote control ($1995). I used this as my digital and analog line source preamp for a year (ran straight to my amplifier) and it is truly an outstanding preamp in it's own right, not to mention a superb DAC. It has balanced and unbalanced outputs, 4 digital inputs (USB/Optical/Coaxial) as well as 2 RCA analog inputs. I used this as my primary computer audio DAC the remainder of the time in my system and it is very good- dynamic with great detail retrieval and very musical with both PCM and DSD. I am selling the DAC2 HGC with an Empirical Audio Power Block ($500), a USB cable filter that improves the USB connection from computer to DAC. It also provides Galvanic isolation on the USB interface and was an audible improvement over a straight USB cable from computer to DAC. Also, I'm including 2 JPS Labs Digital AC power cables ($300 ea) for a great digital system. Additionally- I recently got the $60 Benchmark software upgrade kit and installed it in the DAC2 HGC so it's the latest/greatest DAC2 HGC configuration. Reason for sale: I've taken digital out of my system for the time being and will probably go with a one-box set up in the future, I just don't mesh well with computers and software.
