Original owner. I use this as both a headphone amp and a dac in the office.
It is original non usb version. I used dac1 with Musical Fidelity - V-LINK - Asynchronous USB To SPDIF Converter with great success.
I found hairline scratches near the volume pot. Will come in original box, fuses, bnc adapter, and manual. I will ship this UPS ground.

| does the volume control work like a preamp for the input of the cd player this dac has an excellent preamp. The volume control is based on the analog domain, not digital, so that, no resolution loss.
Keep in mind there is no analog input. There are three digital inputs.
