PRICE DROPPED TO $5,500 (08/01/2017) - Priced To Sell
Selling my dCS Debussy DAC. I purchased it brand new from an authorized dealer. It comes with everything that originally came in the box which includes: manual, remote, driver CD, dCS double boxes (one the DAC goes in, and an "outside" box that adds protection to the whole package) all original packing material to protect it and make sure it's not scratched in transit, and the power cord.

It's in very very good condition as you can see in the photos. When I purchased it, it was already running the latest version of firmware which can play back DSD and High Resolution at rates up to 24Bit 192Khz. dCS has said they will be releasing a new version of firmware in the coming months that will improve the sound of the unit even more. There are rumours about what additional features they will add, and they have not said what those will be.

For those not aware, the Debussy uses dCS's famous "Ring DAC", which is made from FPGA's which means they can significantly change the functionality and sound of the unit with firmware updates. The updates are free and can be installed by the owner at home. However, if you're uncomfortable, your local dCS dealer can do it for you. There's no requirement that you be the original owner or restrictions to updates.

The Debussy has many inputs, which range from Asynchronous USB, Dual AES and SPDIF. It is highly versatile and has an internal volume control that is very good, which means it can drive your amps directly without the need for a preamp.
If you're looking at this, hopefully you've read up on it. The Debussy has won many awards including Stereophile's Product of the Year, and The Absolute Sound's Editor's Choice Award. There are dozens of glowing reviews from established Audiophile publications and organizations. It is a wonderful sounding DAC.

As an example of one such review, Michael Fremer said the following about the Debussy: "...I don't see how even the most committed analog diehard would not enjoy the sound of high-resolution digital files decoded by the Debussy, fed via S/PDIF from either a dedicated music server like the Sooloos or via USB from a computer hard drive.
The dCS Debussy is a flexible, well-made, physically attractive multi-input DAC-preamp that makes use of dCS's highly regarded Ring DAC technology and discrete analog output circuitry. The Debussy's digital sound mirrors my general preferences for analog playback: fast, taut, extended, and dynamic, with no cover-ups: If the recording is bad, that's what I want to hear. If the recording is superb, I want to hear it in all its glory."

You can read more about it at the dCS website, view the manual, or just search the web for it and you'll get a ton of information.

8/01/2017 - Priced to sell - I've dropped the price to $5,500!! This is an incredible DAC that rarely comes up on the used market, is in pristine condition - don't let this one get away. I'm only selling this because I have moved significantly up the dCS lineup.
In case it wasn't clear, Everything that came in the sealed new box will be included.

The dCS Debussy is built to last, and this one is a recent model, a couple of years old. It was racked with my gear (as shown in one of the photos) when I purchased it new, and was only moved to pull it out and take pictures and box it up for this listing. It's not been used a ton as I'm normally away from home for business a lot, however it is broken in and sounds incredible. I would typically listen to it 4-8 hours a week max.

Please contact me with any questions or offers. I'll be happy to discuss with you.
Paypal buyers pay 3% fee. Shipping will be via FedEx. This is a US voltage model, if you're overseas and are interested please contact me so we can discuss. I will consider overseas sales but the buyer and I need to agree to specifics and payment must clear first before I will ship. Local pickup in the Washington DC Metro area is fine as well, however payment must clear prior to pickup.
