E10 DAC/Headphone Amp FiOO E10

I wrote up a nice description... but my browser crashed. So for now I hope this modest attempt will be helpful!

This item is simply a great product. It is what it claims to be. The one time I turned it all the way up, there wasn't a hint of distortion or static in my headphones. In addition to a low/high gain switch to help make the volume dial match the sensitivity of your headphones, it has a "bass boost" feature. This is what actually made my blink in surprise. My usually bass-light Sennheiser 555's blossomed into having nice tight low frequency sound without appearing to give up anything in the mid-range or treble frequencies.

If you wish to use it purely as a DAC (though I think it'd be a shame not to use its other features), I was able to notice a difference. No, it doesn't compete with a Music Streamer II, but it does a satisfactory job making audio files sound better. When used as a DAC hooked to your reciever, it automatically bypasses the amp. A nice thing to save power and keep the sound clean as it travels through the DAC.

I'm selling this only because I'm finding myself using it far too infrequently than it merits, as my reciever does a decent job of letting me use headphones for casual listening/movie watching. I think its a shame for this little gadget to just sit around unused, so I'm hoping to help someone else strapped for money to experience great sound. I normally never list things as 9/10 but I sincerely believe this could pass for brand new.
