Lite DAC60-LE that started life as a GR Research modified unit. These modifications included: -Sonicap + Sonicap Platinum Output Capacitors -Elna Low Voltage Power Supply Capacitors -Elna Silmic DAC power supply capacitors -Sanyo Oscon DAC decoupling capacitors The DAC was further modified: -English BHC Aerovox High Voltage (Tube Output Stage) Power Supply Capacitors, 200uf per side, up from 100uf -per side dual Nichicon capacitor. Each bank is bypassed with Wima film capacitors. -Hammond choke-regulation high voltage power supply in place of a single resistor. For those who do not know, the DAC60 is a PCM1704-DF1704 (24/96) based unit, using two 1704s in mono mode. The output stage is 6DJ8 tubed. The DAC came from GR Research with Electro-Harmonix 6922s, which I replaced with Phillips 6922 tubes and a pair of ~90s 6N1P tubes. These tubes are well-regarded (very low microphonics), and work well with the DAC60. I switch the tubes around depending upon my tastes. The 6N1P is somewhat richer overall. Cosmetically, the DAC is as it came to me when new. There is a small indentation near the upper-left corner. No other blemishes. The cost of the DAC new was $1065. The power supply modifications added another $150.
