Metronome C8

Selling a Metronome C8 DAC in great condition, now at less than 1/3 MSRP. A rare opportunity to grab a rare DAC at a rare price.

This is the PCM only, non-DSD C8, this is not the C8+. It's still a current model.

Switchable from solid state / tube outputs, low hours on original tubes (included).

I can testify that the SS (Solid State) / tube outputs sounds very different, and the tube output in particular is very sensitive to tube rolling. While the SS output is more accurate and neutral, the tube output sounds quite romantic and musical. It is fun to do tube rolling with this DAC! it really feels like you are buying multiple DACs while paying for one.

Reference caliber sound at a very reasonable price, this item will not last! Sound reproduction at this level is less about which one is better or worse in general terms but more about individuality. The Metronome C8 provides a superb platform for tailoring / fine-tuning the sound to fit your own individual taste.
