Selling a highly modified MHDT Constantine, probably the best bargain NOS DAC in existence. Features top quality Sonicraft and Obbligato Gold caps, as well as fresh ELMA Silmics, additional film bypassing, and Vampire BNC connector. $100+ in upgraded parts (parts cost alone, no labor). It does come with Plexiglas panel on top, was taken off for photos. Sound is nice and warm. There's great detail, but it's non-fatiguing... exactly what you'd want from a NOS DAC. More details on the mods below. http://www.diyaudioblog.com/2011/02/modifying-mhdt-constantine-nos-dac.html?m=1
I'm the second owner of this gorgeous, warm sounding DAC. Only reason I'm selling is to get a tube DAC.
Here are a few reviews on this wonderful machine http://www.enjoythemusic.com/magazine/equipment/0406/mhdt_laboratory_dac.htm
Cosmetically in great shape, save for a few scratches on the top cover of the plexiglass. Doesn't affect performance in any way.
