Greetings from Ember AV!
Since we have closed, this is part of our demo sale of gear we'd collected for careful use in our showroom - and is part of a matched set if you wish to buy it's peerless match, the 700i integrated amplifier as well, both in silver, in phenomenal condition.
This unit is an incredible DAC, and an even better disc-spinner. It's around 2.5 years old, with the rest of it's 10 year warranty remaining - and has operated flawlessly during it's tenure, as Simaudio's products tend to do.
While not DSD-capable (a thing which I believe has dubious value, as past a certain point things like signal-path length, electrical and mechanical noise floor, and dampening seem to be more critical in every case) this DAC sounds as nuanced, potent and musical as it's cousin, the 750D, while offering a sightly more muscular mid-range - more of an aesthetic choice on our part, as we prefer that particular sound, and it saved us a few grand, which is always lovely!
What more can we say? It plays cd's shockingly well outside of it's price-class and it's DAC is as detailed as one can get without verging into dry-territory. If you're running a top-flight rig and live in the twilight between cd's and a music server, then you should consider this unit a pitch-perfect solution.
The price includes shipping and the unit comes with all it's materials, naturally.

As mentioned above, we have the matching sliver 700i also listed, and they make one hell of a pairing if you're looking to take a leap into the high-end without absolutely ruining all other Christmas savings you might have squirreled away. This way, the children won't be crying over empty boxes come Christmas Day. Think of the children!
Jokes aside, they make for the best system for the money we've ever heard - and the combo is fit to drive almost any load, effortlessly. These were our reference, despite being able to afford much loftier gear, as they seemed to be infinitely listenable, and equally able to deliver ever nuance of every recording we brought to them.
Feel free to ask questions and Happy Listening!
