For sale is my Denon DP L 62 turntable. It is truly a beautiful example of a great turntable. You can see from the pictures, that it was easy to rate this table as a 9 out of 10. It is very clean. I am the original owner and the DP 62-L operated flawlessly in my system for about 2 1/2 to 3 years. It was replaced by a VPI turntable and since then the Denon has set in its box in a closet. Now that we are moving, all of my unused audio equipment must be sold. I did plug the turntable in and it fired right up and all of the functions operated properly. I have both tonearms and headshells, all of the weight rings, manual and box, and even the 45 recorder adaptor. Also, included is a record clamp that does a good job of reducing record warp. I never attached the dust cover but the hinges are included. The dust cover is in good condition with only minor scratching.
This is a servo-controlled direct drive turntable with a magnetic record head speed detection system. This means your records always spin at an accurate 33 1/3 or 45 rpm and results in outstanding performance. The DP 62-L also has an auto-lift mechanism. When the record is finished playing, the stylus automatically lifts off of the record and turntable stops rotation. This avoids unnecessary wear of the stylus tip. (I wish my VPI had an auto-lift feature.) Another nice feature, the motor bearings are treated with a special oil; so there is no need to add oil to the bearings at any time.
There are only two minor issues. One is on the front left corner and the other is on the back rear corner. The one in the back is about one inch long and the other about a 1/16 of an inch.
If you are a collector or have always wanted a technologically and sonically advanced turntable then this is the one to put on your short list.
