This 20.3 lb. unit is built like a tank and shares the same chassis, drive system and controls as Denon's $2,000.00 flagship player, the DVD-3800BDCI. By leaving out the decoders (which are now standard in all newer receivers / processors) Denon was able to drop the MSRP on this unit to $1,000.00. It has a single HDMI output, which is all you need if you have a newer receiver / processor which has built-in decoders.
It has fabulous picture and sound quality, the best colors I've seen, supports Dolby True HD and DTS Master Audio soundtracks, and upconverts standard DVDs to near-HD resolution.
I bought this unit new in 2010 and have used it less than 40 hours in my theater room----which is child / smoke free. It is in immaculate / like new condition and is current on all firmware updates. Reason for selling is that I am changing to 3D.
Owner's manual, power cord, original remote, HDMI cable and original box are included. Will ship double boxed for added protection.
