Denon DVD 5910 DVD/SACD Player

This ad is for a Denon DVD 5910 DVD player. I purchased this from another Audiogon member in early 2006. The unit is in excellent cosmetic shape and it has worked flawlessly since I bought it. I am conservatively rating it at 7/10 only due to age. It has been used sparingly in a smoke-free, pet-free environment. I have all the original accessories, manual, and packaging.

Please note that this is NOT the CI version, so it only upscales DVD video to 720p or 1080i. If you want to use it for DVD video, you would probably get best results selecting the pure 480p output resolution and having your processor or monitor do the upscaling itself to its native resolution. But really, the reason you would want this player is for the excellent SACD and DVD-A capability using its high-quality multichannel analog outputs. Or you can use the Denon link for high quality DSD transfer to your Denon processor or receiver.

I listed this piece last month at $750 and frankly got little response. I will try $550 this time, but if I can't get that I'd rather keep it for a second system. I would prefer to sell locally in the Chicago area as this is a heavy unit and it is more convenient not to have to deal with shipping. But I will ship at buyer's expense if necessary. Please don't make an offer if you insist on using Paypal - I will not use that service.
