Denon Professional CD player designed for radio station use. Tray loading, not CD-cartridge loading. Balanced audio out on XLRs (to Japanese pin assignment); AES/EBU digital out. Has headphone jack on rear panel. Remote control only by hardwire connection from broadcast console or RS-422A interface. I have used it as a transport off and on for several months. Condition is good, but not great. No major gouges, and has the often-missing little clear plastic window on the top front edge. Has repair sticker from a pro audio service center. The player is 11 years old, and was in a radio station, so I am selling it as-is. I am sure it would benefit from a checkover by a factory service center (there is one in Texas). There are three trim pots on the transport, but I have not touched them. Replacement lasers are available and not expensive (circa $20). This was a workhorse player, not a showhorse. The cool things are that the time display shows Digital Frames after Seconds, and the illuminated transport control button starts blinking 10 seconds before the track ends, to wake up the DJ. This is not a player you see every day. I have the original Owner's Manual, which I can provide a copy of, or include the real manual for an additional $20. Everyone who has seen it has thought it was cool. But, there are better-sounding digital transports, and as mentioned, this model can be remote-controlled by a special hardwired protocol. No power cord came with this (obviously, I am not the first owner) but I can include one if necessary. Any questions, please send an Email.

TWO ADDITIONAL POINTS: One, I will not participate in any transactions outside of the Audiogon listing. If you want the unit, buy it through Audiogon. Two, shipping to the US only, and it will be at least $20, as I plan to pack it very well and insure it.

Questions for the seller
Does it skip on cd or cdrs? Thanks.
Hi-In rare cases it will skip on a CD, and in every case I can remember, when I washed the CD to get rid of fingerprints, the CD played as it should. As I said in the description, it is an 11-year old radio station player and I am sure it will benefit from a checkup at a factory authorized service center. There are adjustment pots on the transport but I have not touched them. The only CDRs I have played on it are ones I have made in my professional recording activities, which I burn at the slowest speeds using high-quality blank discs, and they play fine. Of course, this machine will not decode MP3 on CDRs. This is a cool piece with a great "Wow" factor. But I would not want it as a transport in my only system without a rebuild. If it does not sell, I might have it rebuilt. Cheers, John
