This was the original, highly reviewed Grand Illusion Signature AC cord. It has the 2" wide silver foil with Rhodium plated AC connectors. I tried this in several of my components and the difference is quite appealing. The biggest difference was naturally over stock cord and the Grand Illusion Signature AC cord is akin to feeding the component with more "oxygen". There was improved expansiveness in presentation, darker backgrounds and a deeper soundstage. Over other AC cords priced between $1,000 to $3,000, the Verastarr had a smoother presentation. With power amps, there was a bit of "gusto" as if it received a mild shock to the system. The cable works fine with any components ,seem to be the best suited. Cryo treated.
Cosmetically, the cable is in great shape. There are a few small little "piling" of the fabric sheath over the cable and two spots with tiny black marks but nothing major. Cable will be securely packed for safe shipping. Cable is just slightly longer than 6 footÂ
