Here is the story on these.Years back I was able to move my stereo into its own dedicated room. I was so excited about this only to find out that my stereo never sounded worse. So I found some good info here at audiogon in the forums on DIY room treatments. I learned about some special insulation that your average lowes doesnt carry. I didnt know how much it would take to "save" my room so once I found a source for this "special" insulation I did not kid around. The room treatments dont have a very high WAF but they are very functional. When I was making these I figured somewhere down the road I would "upgrade" the looks of these but at the time my goal was function. The room treatments consist of a wood frame, wrapped in a breathable fabric with the insulation inside. These are not small, they measure 2 feet wide and 4 feet tall and almost 4 inches thick. With the amount of the insulation purchased I was able to make 16 of these. Funny thing is,it took only about 6pcs to "save" my room.So the other 10 just served as added improvement. The fabric used itself is nothing fancy, actually if memory serves it was the cheapest breathable fabric I could find. I am sure these are worth something to somebody but I refuse to ship and or deliver these things. That and maybe this will help "save" another "local" audiophiles room on the cheap. Once again these are free and there is 16 of them. The pic is of two of them standing side by side.
