This little phono preamp is quite amazing. I love Dynavector cartridges and decided to jump on this their first phono-preamp with current amplifying option (aka phono enhancer). It has been awesome with my "Ruby" 17D cart as well as with a Grace F9E Ruby, Shure V15 type IV, even with a Pickering V15 I use for 78s.
Using internal jumpers the input sensitivity can be altered from 40gb to 63db gain and it is super quiet. Loading options are zero (enhancer mode) 4-10, 30, 100, 470, and 47k Ohms making it suitable for all types of cartridges. Overload was never a problem with high output carts, this has lots of headroom.
It does not come with the wall wart power supply but works with all 12V DC 500ma or above supplies. It has an internal 250khz regenerative internal supply that makes the power transformer irrelevant. I am a nut about AC conditioning and upgrade power supplies but I tried many and could hear no difference.
There are many reviews on this and most are raves. The bass in particular is super solid, tuneful, and dynamic. It is slightly better in that aspect than my reference Monolithic PS-1 with upgrade power supply and otherwise hard to tell the difference., It is a tough choice for me and if you are really curious I can send you a snip of the same record played thru either preamp.
This has been loved and cared for. I include the original box and manual as well as an updated manual. Please feel free to ask any questions. Thank you
