I have been asked by several people about shipping costs and I have estimates from 305.00 (NYC) to 335.00 (California). That would include packaging, insurance and shipping costs.

I didn't mention in the original ad that the 'stand' for the speaker is missing the nameplate.

I was remodeling a home in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 2009 and I came across a "movie-star home rental" that had gone bust and was selling the contents. I didn't have deep enough pockets to get the Krell components but I did get this monster center channel speaker and stand in hopes of upgrading my system. I remembered it from the 2006 CES. I had the speaker checked out and it has become a fixture in my home for the last three years (unfortunately I do not have the space or the system to accompany it) and it has sat unused. My wife has now taken a stance and I choose marital harmony over audio bliss.

Earthquake's Rhea Sounds and Looks Beautiful
This center-channel loudspeaker is truly revolutionary. It contains three 1.5-inch soft-dome tweeters, each of which is rated for 30 degrees of dispersion. The outputs do not overlap until a distance of exactly 15 feet. In addition to the tweeters, the Rhea has four 6-inch full-range high-speed drivers powered by massive magnetic motors. The motors are specially designed to produce long and accurate excursions that are critical for a high-SPL system such as this especially one that is delivers such deep bass. Earthquake engineers uniquely tuned the combinations of drivers for uniform dispersion of sound waves over a large area with a broad frequency range. The drivers are mounted in a horizontal array, based on a classic design theory developed in the 1960s.

With its aerodynamic cabinet finished in ten layers of piano-black lacquer, the Rhea is a unique speaker. This unconventional aerodynamic design reduces or eliminates internal and external reflections and refractions found in typical rectangular designs. The cabinets' smooth and curved surfaces allow air to move non-turbulently around and within the cabinet, delivering the smoothest and most accurate mid- and high-frequency effects that you will ever hear.

Here is a link to the reference manual for the speaker:

The speaker is almost flawless with light scratching on the left front corner (which could be buffed totally out) and the stand had a cracked leg which was repaired.

I live in Duluth, Minnesota and it would need to be picked up or shipped from here.

Questions for the seller
Hello For shipping problems i will bought a center whithout a stand , its possible use them over a rack , and what is the shipping cost to Miami Florida , in other hand what is the sound characteristics (i seek open and big ). Thanks Victor
I would have to get a quote on shipping costs to Miami. I would guess less than 250.00. You would definitely want the stand because it follows the curves of the speaker and is very sturdy to accomodate the weight. I am not familiar with the specific sound characteristics but you could [filtered] the Earthquake Sound and ask them.
I see , do will send in one or two boxes , and talk more about a scratch , is only on the surface ? Victor
Will have to send in two boxes. The scratch is very light and on the surface. I will add a photo of the scratch to the listing tomorrow.
