Yes, this IS the real deal. The NEW and Improved MiniMax Plus.
Even better than the original!!! 192/24 USB!!!!
I am the original owner.
It replaced a well reviewed tube DAC in my system, that retailed for over twice the retail of the PLUS. And it ran circles around my old DAC and a good friends ARC tube DAC too.
But I now find I need a volume control on my DAC, therefore I need to move this one along.
My loss, your gain. :-)
I rate it a conservative 8. I have used mass loading on the top, so there are a few light scratches on the top plate.
Sonically perfect. And as you know both tube and SS output and FIVE switchable inputs including the 192/24 USB, Toslink optical, S/PDIF coax, BNC, and AES/EBU.
