The Apprentice starts life as an OEM version of a popular, British made award winning turntable, we then strip it down, change the bearing to a custom made white ceramic version which substantially lowers the bearing noise and friction, this is then immersed in a specially formulated high performance synthetic oil and re assembled. We then replace the standard belt with our own custom made synthetic rubber drive belt, being less elastic than a normal belt this offers the advantage of reduced flutter and dynamic wow giving a superior dynamic performance with more solid positioning of stereo information.
The Apprentice comes supplied as a complete package, ready to play straight out the box, just push the counterweight all the way on and you are ready to go. It is supplied with an Ortofon OM5E cartridge.
It offers a great introduction to vinyl replay and coupled with the Apprentice MM phono stage and Integrated amplifier will give many hours of pleasure as you rediscover all those forgotten great recordings.
