EDIT: I am open to serious offers, so feel free to contact me if interested. Original asking price has been reduced. I would also be willing to make a package deal with the Elrod pc and the 'Sound Application Reference Line Stage' that I have listed for sale elsewhere.
For Sale is a very good condition Elrod Power Systems 'EPS-3 Signature' power cord (6 ft.) that I used for my Sound Application 'Reference Line Stage' power conditioner/surge protector. This EPS-3 Signature is fitted with a 20amp connector for use with a power conditioner/amplifier.
I have listed it as an 8 out of 10 appearance-wise, but that is being a bit harsh, as it looks virtually brand new in almost all aspects, with only very minor scuffs on the rubber wrapping at the ends of the cord, as can be seen in the attached pictures. It is definitely a 10 out of 10 performance-wise.
These are a superb high current cable, using foil wiring with proprietary insulation and shielding. They are wonderful for amplifiers or as a mains cable between the wall and line conditioners. The wire is high purity copper foil and supplied with Fururtech ends, and are cryogenically treated. A special material is used in the cords, to dampen mechanical and electrical vibrations, named as the EDCF (Electron Density Containment Field).
Expect an approximate 3-4 week burn-in period, as these will not have been plugged in a for a period of time. Once burned-in, however, the cords need only be left plugged in to maintain their performance. I used this one along with an EPS-3 Signature for my amplifier, and 2 x EPS-2 Signatures for my front end units. I couldn't have been happier with their performance. They increased the size of the soundstage dramatically, such that the separation between instruments and vocals increased significantly. It also created a much smoother transition in volume, and allowed for volume levels that would have been unlistenable prior to their use. Better recordings were a sheer pleasure to listen to, but even mediocre recordings improved as I was able to hear things in them that I had never noticed before.
These should also be considered a component within your system, just as the Sound Application power conditioner that I used them in conjunction with should be. They are also built to last a lifetime, so wear and tear is not going to be an issue, and they will maintain their value indefinitely.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have regarding this item, or others that I currently have listed elsewhere.
