A very rare offering for an Audyssey Pro 8-channel Balanced I/O EQ. The photos are of the actual unit available. It was purchased brand new and was rack mounted and never moved until recently but the ears show very little to no signs of being mounted. The chassis, faceplate and the entire unit are in truly pristine condition and this unit comes from a non-smoking home. It can be used in balanced mode to eq 2 to 8 channels and therefore is especially useful for either a high-end 2-channel audio system or a full 8-channel theater where balanced in's and out's are preferred for the ultimate sound quality. LISTING UPDATE: This listing also includes the rare dealer calibration kit as shown in the photos. This kit has only been used once and many of the cables are still in their original bags. It has been stored indoors in a non-smoking home and appears in as-new condition with no missing items and everything works. The cost for this unit alone was $800! Professional installers calibrate the Sound Equalizer with the Audyssey Installer Kit, which includes a professionally calibrated microphone and preamp, Audyssey MultEQ Pro software and supporting hardware and documentation. The Audyssey Sound Equalizer integrates seamlessly with MultEQ Pro, a PC application that enables installation professionals to capture up to 32 points of acoustical information throughout a listening area. Based on these measurements, MultEQ Pro automatically calculates an equalization solution that corrects for time and frequency response problems in the listening area, creating a fully automated surround system setup. The results of the calibration are stored in the Sound Equalizer to deliver sound as it was intended to every seat in the listening environment, without the distortion or coloration normally added by the room.
