Rare opportunity to get a Gradient HE ( High End ) Cross-over.

This unit is in NEAR MINT condition and can be used to control a Gradeint Revolution Active System OR add FULL-RANGE Dipole bass to any System.

This is a WIN-WIN situation as all the bass below 200 Hz is passed to the Dipole Bass drivers and your Main Speakers are relieved of Bass below 200 Hz resulting in better Midrange from your main speakers.

The Gradient HE-XO is typically set at 200 Hz for the Gradient Revolution System but with change out of 5 resistors per channel can be optimized for a lower XO frequency with any QUAD.... see the included Gradient XO Layout drawing showing the location of the 5 resistors / channel.

Price INCLUDES the QUAD XO modification.

This HE-XO ( High End XO ) is vastly superior to the Orignal Cross-over supplied with the Gradient SW-63 as it has much better transparancy in the HF for the super reveling QUADS.

The bass estension of the original SW-63 XO was ca. 40 Hz ... The HE-XO with its 3 variable Q settings can extend the bass down to 20 Hz with the Gradient SW-S and SW-D Modules .. which we also stock.

Price includes shipping within Continental USA

Questions for the seller
So, the crossover frequency is 200hz? Quad ESL needs one in 110hz.
Hi, You Clearly know your Quads ;-) This MINT unit was used with the Gradient Revolution Active Speakers which has an XO at 200 Hz. We have converted several of these XO for the QUAD XO frequency which is much lower... this is just a matter of changing 4 resistors following the instructions from Gradient. At one stage, I had two HE XO-s on-hand... one set for 200 Hz and the otehr for the Lower Frequency for the Quads ... and the XO set to the lower Frequency was significantly better.... the XO designer confirmed that the QUAD has excellent Upper Bass resonse ... where it come un-done is in the lower bass where the panals go into chaotic break-up. This unit is in MINT condition and a Rare Bargain... if you need Dipole Woofers to go with this XO, let me know as I can supply these also. ALL the BEST, Ceol
I now have the Gradient SW 63 on the bottom with original crossover. Wonder how much will this change the sound? Also, are the resistors needed for conversion from the same source as factory ones?
Hi, There are just 4 resistors to change and they are the correct type. As you already have the Quad 63 and matching SW-63 you should jump on the Gradient HE Upgrade. I have a pair of Quad 63s and SW-63 in my lab and have tested the original Cross-oveer Vs the HE XO and the difference is HUGE. The original SW-63 cross-over was primarily designed to solve a problem which was relieving the Bass panels of the QUADS to stop them failing. It achieved this and got more bass extension but was a step backwards in terms of transparancy of the top end handled by the QUAD... The HE cross-over solved this issue to the point that adding a HE XO is a step forward for the Quads in EVERY way. Indeed anotther stwp forward to your set-up would be to add the larger Gradeint SW-S modules which we carry which have 12 inch drivers and can extend the bass down to 20 Hz ( the SW-63 goes to ca 40 Hz ). I carry the Gradient speakers and am a huge fan of their add-on Dipole concept which improves the performance of any speaker. NOTE, I am getting a lot of local interest in the HE XO so you should move on this RARE MINT unit right away ... you wont regret it :-) ALL the BEST, Ceol San Diego Based Cell (858) 257 7771

Please get back to me ASAP on this as I will need to schedle my Technician to do the work.
