Wanted: Home Audio and Stereo (Working and As-is) Audio Research Mcintosh Sonic Frontiers VTL VAC

Hello! I'm Chris and I currently live in the Los Angeles/Orange County area of California. I am primarily looking to purchase modern and/or vintage audio equipment that may either work  or not work properly (as-is but must be salvageable).
I do not resell most of the equipment that I buy unless it ultimately cannot be fixed or will just end up turning into clutter. This is my hobby, not my job and I dislike buying and selling items on eBay. I am posting this ad to find gear at reasonable prices. I try to be an alternative to dealing with eBay, allowing you to avoid the hassle of selling fees, fraud, shipping costs, and selling limits.

I have made many purchases over the years from those with extra gear. I think it's great fun to fix and listen to new gear. I purchase only with cash, check, and PayPal (if item is not local). 
If you are not local, I can also pay for shipping directly by emailing you a UPS shipping label that you simply print, tape to a packed box and drop off at UPS. Being across the country should not be a deterrent to reaching out! I do look forward to dealing locally and have time on the weekends or evenings to pick up gear.
Beyond what is listed in the title, I am open to all kinds of brands and will also gladly purchase certain vintage gear or anything with tubes for that matter. Those classic brands include names like Marantz - Mcintosh - Fisher - Altec - Quad - Leak & etc.
