Selling my Exposure VIII amplifier (55w chanel) and VII preamplifier that has separete rca connection for mm and mc cartridge. The amp was upgraded with 4 new Audiograde capacitors: Elna (made for Denon) Audiograde capacitor (a 60$ value). The new caps were installed by my very conscientious tech here in Magog. The preamp was also verified in the same time (about 3 months ago) by this tech and a new volume pot was installed (a total of 185$ upgrade). These vintage pieces are in very good cosmetic condition and in perfect working order. For your info, the preamp is connected directly to the amp via a kind of din cable. So, the amp drives the preamp. Just the phono section of the preamp competes easily with separete phono that would cost you at least 300$ or even more. The preamp has two buttons for balance, one for the right side and one for the left. Selection for the mm/mc is done by a switch at the back of the preamp. There is also a tape input and a tuner input (10k) but both can be used unstead with a cd player (and it just sound superb and would put into shame many preamp easily over 1500$ personnaly...) and you could use an mp3 player for the other input. There is also a tape output and...naturally...a main output that connect to the amp. All RCA connections. That combo is very musical (British) and competes easily with modern unit that would cost you 3 times the asking price. Search on google for more info. I would rate it a good 8/10 for these vintage pieces but I decided to put a 7/10, but they are in very good condition. Thanks. I don't have the original box or manual but it is already well packed.
