Due to financial stresses I must regrettably offer my Fidelity Research FR-7fz low output moving coil cartridge for sale. The unit is EXTREMELY RARE, in mint condition, includes all original packaging and paperwork, and was re-tipped by a Japanese Master of stylus diamonds with the Ultimate Q4 stylus profile (as endorsed and recommended by Bavarian analogue experts Syntax and Dertonarm). The cantilever is perfect and the suspension on these cartridges last forever. Ideally suited to a high mass tonearm with exceptional control of vibration (e.g. Fidelity Research FR-64s, FR-66s or similar).
Following the re-tipping (I never heard it in stock form which was mint as received) this cartridge was tested on half of one LP side (using an expertly setup Fidelity Research FR-66s tonearm on a Micro-Seiki RX-5000 turntable) and the sound was the most natural and refined I have have ever heard in my life, with the quietest possible groove tracing, and both micro and macro dynamics which scale effortlessly as they do in real life. The term "as natural as breathing" is the only description which comes close to doing this type of performance any justice at all.
My advertised price is exactly what this item owes me and I do not wish to enter into negotiations, I am not profiting from this exercise. I could go to an auction format and conceivably fetch a greater price.
Buyer to cover all shipping costs. Item will be extremely well packed for safe transport.
