First Watt (Pass) F5 Amplfier

This is a FirstWatt F5 2 channel amplifier built by Nelson Pass. It is really a terrific amplifier and comes with a 2 year and 10 month warranty. I bought it from Reno Hi Fi (highly recommended) who had it checked out by Nelson Pass. It came to me with a 3 year fully transferrable warranty.

As you know these are limited production hand-built amplifiers. Only 100 were made. Some reviewers use them as their reference amp. It puts out 25 watts into 8 ohms and 40 into 4 ohms. It is a pure class A amp and sounds great. You can read more on the first watt website.

It is in the same condition I bought it. It does have some minor marks on it, but you have to look carefully to find them. Keep in mind, I am the second owner and these marks were on the unit when I got it.

I am selling it because I decided to go with mono blocks that run cooler so I can put them in an enclosed rack.

I am also selling a Pass Labs INT-30A for $4200, if anyone is interested, as well as a Berkeley Audio DAC for $3000. I will list those separately, but thought I would mention them in case anyone is interested before I get around to taking pictures and listing them.

Price is firm, but it does include shipping in the US as well as Paypal fees. Please don't bother making offers -- while I appreciate the interest, I will just keep the amp if it doesn't sell. I am not using "buy it now" because I don't trust the audiogon system. If there are multiple offers, I will choose the highest one. And if someone wants to pick it up and pay cash, then the price is $2400.

For serious buyers, I will take it out of the box and get better photos of it -- no problem.
