Focal CMS 50 Powered Monitor (pair)

This sale is for a pair of Focal CMS 50 powered monitors. These speakers deliver
clarity and definition without etch or stridency. These compact monitors throw an excellent stereo image, and offer a wide sweet spot. The design of the CMS 50 monitors also permits wide placement, without damaging the soundstage.

The CMS 50’s use Focal’s aluminum/magnesium alloy inverted-dome tweeter. This design offers high efficiency, precision, and energy. The tweeter is mated with a Polyglass woofer, whose linearity is very good, with excellent definition in the midrange.

These are great speakers, especially if you are at a listening distance of 6’ or less. And, because they come with built-in amplifiers, you don’t need to spend extra money on amps and speaker wire. The frequency controls on the back of the speaker allow you to tailor the sound to your listening environment. Connection choices are XLR or RCA.

These speakers are in good condition and are about 1 year old. Price when new = $1,190/pair. I am selling them to upgrade to the Focal Solo 6 Be. The "7" rating was driven by the slightly worn condition of the adjustment dials on the back of the speaker. They still work as designed; they just aren't cosmetically perfect. The speakers themselves would rate an "8". The grille covers for the woofer and tweeter are included.
