These AR3's are fully functioning ( the pots are scratchy, but are still functional ) and have lived in a climate controlled environment for the past 30 years. They are sequential serial and have all of their original paperwork attached to them. The papers have a few rips and tears, but are in great shape, all things considered.
The speakers have their original brass tags ( The AR Logo and the brass 3 for each speaker. ) The speakers are mostly blemish free except for the scratches you see on the back of one of them. Even the bottoms of these speakers are flawless. The plastic framing for the grill on one of the AR's is cracked, I believe. The wood on all visible fascias is beeeaauutifffuull!! I have maintained the wood meticulously with professional care. In one of the pictures, it appears that there is a scratch on the front bottom left of the frame, but it is actually just a fly-away from the original grill fabric. Not a scratch!
Now, for the interesting part..
Apple Corp. is written on the back of each speaker. I have tried to research their history, but cannot find anything. There is still a logistic badge on one of the speakers.
I am not using the speakers at all and really want to see them go to a good home.

Speakers were repaired or remade not ribbed bass ? Hello,
They are all-original and fully functioning.. the crossover adjustments are a little bit gritty and almost certainly need cleaning, though.
The woofers are functional and original.

| you have pictures of bass and treble speakers do not send me I don't have pictures of the drivers, but I certainly will take some. I do NOT want to damage the grills and they seem very difficult to get off. However, I understand and will take pictures of the drivers, today. |
| So, I spoke with an AR expert and he advised me not to remove the grills. Now, I have checked all the drivers and WILL remove the grills and take shots of all drivers OR use the flashlight method OR put a condenser mic on all drivers. Basically, I don't want to remove the grills until the buyer asks me to. I am guaranteeing that the drivers are original. If they are not the original drivers, I will double your money back; no problem.
If you are serious about purchasing and would like to see the drivers, please let me know. I will accommodate you. For the time-being, I am not going to risk damaging them. AR grills. |
