Alon V MKIII Black Piano Finish [Template]

For sale is my pair of Alon V MkIII speakers.I am original owner.Purchased direct from dealer and have been in use in my main listening room since 2000.These are bi and tri wire capable speakers.Foam surrounds on LF drivers were professionally replaced in 2007 and all drivers are in perfect working / sounding condition.Passive internal crossovers also provide the ideal opportunity for bi-amplification.While in my main system I used in this fashion with tube mono blocks driving the MF and HF and solid state driving the LF.

These are a time aligned design with the HF and MF drivers positioned slightly behind the sealed cabinet LF drivers.They will produce a huge soundstage (left to right and front to back), a very open, full bodied and detailed midrange with extended and silky smooth high frequencies.They also produce deep, powerful and articulate low frequency response.You will clearly hear every tweak, equipment change and cable change you make as these are very revealing speakers that produce incredible life like sound.The timbre and weight of each instrument and vocal is truly astonishing.

While removing one of the LF drivers for the foam repair the exterior of one cabinets was damaged.This can be seen around the edge of the cutout for the LF driver when the sock speaker covering is pulled down.It is not visible when the sock is pulled up and in place.Sound performance is completely unaffected and they sound great.The black piano finish on the tops and bases shows the small scratches you get from dusting, but no major cracks, chips or imperfections.Please see my photos as I have tried to capture all this as best I can.

The binding posts are in good shape but do show wear from the changing in and out of speaker cables.
