Altec A7-500W-II Magnificent VOTT speakers

If you are looking for a pair of these classic speakers, here is a beautiful pair for a great(and very firm) price. These are "the holy grail" of Altec speakers, the Altec A7-500W-II walnut classic home speakers in great condition. They are not "mint/perfect", but they areas excellent a pair as you are likely to find. I have "rated" these as a "6" because of age, but I do believe they should be rated higher. My pictures and description is quite specific. All the woofers/horns/drivers/crossovers are beautiful Altec green and original(note in the pictures the correct part number of these original woofer cones). Come see these in person and you will see what a beautiful pair they are. There are the usual small dings/scratches on the cabinets, but they do not "jump out" at you, and therefore do not show in the pictures. A few of the screw holes (see pictures) on the plywood back of the cabinets have "stripped out" over the years(see pictures). I notice that one factory baffle is wood, while the other is composite. One lattice grill seems slightly more bowed out than the other.I'll leave any attempt to adjust it to the new owner, as I am being quite critical. There is a brass badge on each speaker that says "Magnificent". I looked behind these badges with a dentist's mirror. There is but little grill behind the badges. I do not know if these badges are factory or not, but they look very nice. If you take a good look at the pictures, you will see that I am being very "picky", as the speakers look (and certainly sound) gorgeous. Please look at all of the pictures, as they are part of the description. Please feel free (if possible) to come and see/hear them for yourself. The cabinets are currently sitting atop custom made dollies that are screwed into the bottoms. These dollies are NOT included in the purchase price, bur can be purchased for an extra fee(email with questions). None of the electronics pictured are included in this sale.
