Audio Physic Classic 30 Classic 30 - In Stunning Piano Black

For sale, almost new, pair of Audio Physic Classic 30 speakers in stunning piano black. The speakers are glass enclosed so the cabinet is totally non resonant, and the high gloss piano black finish is easy to maintain. You will see from the pictures how reflective they are.

These speakers have a dynamic and balanced sound. The bass is very dense and resonant, but never boomy; the mid range is lush; and the high end sparkles. Audio Physic’s slogan “No Loss of Fine Detail” is true… with these speakers I could hear deeper into the music; both in terms of subtle details but also in terms of instrument placement in the sound stage.

Top to bottom a great sounding speaker. The attack on dynamic passages is (nicely) startling sometimes; they have a very nice sense of rhythm, music flows; and final note decay extends downward gently.

I found the speaker to very versatile in playing my wide selections in music tastes with ease. Well produced cds are incredibly rich and early recordings are contained enough to be able to be enjoyed. I found them best on Jazz, Fusion, Blues, Rock, World Music, Folk, and on classical chamber music. Electric music is … well.. ELECTRIC! And acoustic music captures the natural resonances of the instruments. As illustration: I was listening to some early John Lee Hooker playing electric guitar; and I did a double take it sounded so much like a live guitar playing through a tube amp. Classical harpsichord resonance filled the room. The only area I found them good but not superb, was classical symphonic music; which sounded nice but not as rich as the other genres. However, this is likely my amp which was not quite up to the standard of these speakers (reason for selling, …well that, and having to spend $10,000 on my back yard fence and deck this summer).

I found the speaker flexible in placement…. In a near listening configuration I found they contained the bass well (down firing woofers) but when I gave them a bit more space the sound stage and space around the instruments opened up more; so a bit of room around them is advised.

They are quite heavy, but once placed they not only sound great they look beautiful. Showcase pieces.. technology presenting as fine art, they are so attractive.

I was glad to be able to audition these speakers but just could not afford them and an amp upgrade as my current transition amp, April Music Groove is just a touch lower in the standard these speakers will benefit most from.

The speaker is securely encased in foam and shipped in a stiff cardboard shipping container, so although heavy, no worries about shipping. I also added an extra layer of stiff cardboard inside the cabinet as well as foam peanuts to make it more ship-worthy.

They are available for drop off on the 410/403 corridor between London and Toronto or close vicinity to London or GTA.
